Created in December 1959, ASECNA is a multinational public establishment in
charge of the management of the air spaces of member states. Today, it
comprises fifteen West and Central African States as well as Madagascar namely:
Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Côte
d’Ivoire, Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Senegal
and Togo. It covers an airspace of 16,100 000 sq km,
or 1.5 times the area of Europe.
ASECNA is an excellent example of successful inter-African co-operative business
venture which has expertly provided air navigation services over several
decades.
ASECNA is ISO 9001 certified and covers an airspace of

the 37th AFRAA AGA in Sun City, ASECNA won the AFRAA
Aviation Service Provider of the Year Award for efficient and
exemplary provision of air navigation services.
