Over the past two days, the AFRAA Secretary General held high-level strategic engagements with Ethiopian Airlines Group CEO – Ato Mesfin Tasew, the Director General of Civil Aviation Authority – Ato Yohannes Abera, the MD of Ethiopian MRO – Ato Daniel Demeke, the President of the Ethiopian Aviation University – Ato Laeke Tadesse and the Ethiopian Airlines event Organising Committee of the upcoming African MRO Conference.
Together, the engagements fuel the launch of the African MRO Conference. The event is a landmark gathering designed to transform Africa’s aviation maintenance landscape. Africa is ready to build, scale and own a competitive, sustainable MRO ecosystem.
Hosted by Ethiopian MRO, and jointly staged with Egyptian Maintenance & Engineering, Kenya Airways MRO, and South African Airways Technical, the African MRO Conference (29–31 March 2026 | Addis Ababa) is moving from vision to execution.
