Recognizing cargo as part of its core business, Ethiopian established state-of the-art cargo terminal with a capacity of 350,000 tons of cargo per annum positioning Addis as a regional hub. Ethiopian cargo provides extensive services to its customers in export and import business. This is a pioneering endeavor by the airline to primarily encourage and promote Africa’s export business to Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
The Ethiopian Aviation Academy has become a powerful source of the African aviation training. The Academy is committed to developing and providing competent workforce for itself in particular and the Aviation industry in general. The academy runs concurrent training and development programs covering pilots, cabin crew, technicians and conducts comprehensive courses in marketing and leadership management.
Ethiopian MRO is recognized as one of the finest aircraft engine and components maintenance and overhaul center in Africa and the Middle East, meeting approval standards of Ethiopian Civil Aviation and the US Federal Aviation Administration.
Ethiopian MRO maintains modern and complete aircraft engine, as well as component overhaul and repairs. The maintenance base provides complete package maintenance for Boeing, Turboprobe DHC-6, Bombardier and Fokker. Ethiopian supplies sit to sit aircraft interior wires for 737, 747, 767 and 777 aircraft types to The Boeing Company where 85% of the product goes to 777.
