SUBJECT: AFRAA-VISA Workshop on Airline Payment Performance, 18 September 2025, Virtual Format
AFRAA, in partnership with VISA will hold a workshop on airline payment performance on 18 September 2025 at 14.00hrs EAT (11.00hrs UTC) in virtual format.
Held under the theme: “Improving African Airline Payment Performance”, the Workshop will offer African airline professionals a practical, operational deep-dive into optimizing digital payment processes for increased revenue and a superior customer experience.
Further, participants will explore the financial and operational impacts of payment failures, gain an understanding of end-to-end authentication and authorization flows, and learn how to leverage key e-commerce pillars—including data quality, acquirer performance, and gateway rule optimization—to boost authorization rates and minimize friction. The session will feature a real-world, anonymized case study highlighting effective issuer outreach, acquirer collaboration, and actionable steps to fix data quality issues, equipping attendees with proven strategies and technical know-how to enhance payment performance across their organizations.
